Piers Morgan has vented his frustrations after Ant and Dec were nominated in this year’s National Television Awards 2019. The 53-year-old presenter was toasting Good Morning Britain’s nomination victory for best Daytime show, noting the absence of rival BBC Breakfast within their fellow nominees. His focus soon turned to Ant and Dec, who have been nominated for TV Presenter and The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award, despite the former taking time out from work to focus on his health.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Piers said: ‘By the way, you know how I was joking about Ant and Dec getting nominated for NTAs because they win it every year, when one of them hadn’t done any work this year. It’s happened!’ ‘They’ll win,’ Piers added. Even though Ant’s basically been sitting on his backside from what I can see walking his dog for the last year. He’s got an award.’
